I’ve always been proud of my white teeth. Yea, I said it. I like to tell myself I’ve got the whitest little pearlys in the whole wide world. Did I mention Im referring to my pre-coffee problem days? Aren’t you happy I’m finally accepting I have a problem? Its the first step you know?

Where was I? Oh yea, the whitest teeth. So since my coffee binge, I’ve been making a point to give the ol’e chiclets a good scrub more frequently throughout the day. Its a good habit to get into but hard to pickup. One of the things that helped was torturing myself with photos of old Irish men with rotten teeth. I’d hate for people to assume I eat bugs for a living at some sick bug factory in asia judging by my toothsies. And who wants that right?
Oh, and I thought I’d mention someone used my toothbrush yesterday! I mean, thats gross. C’mon, whoever it was, quit it. I have to go spend $14.00 for a new toothbrush now. And that comes out of my coffee fund. How appropriate.
UPDATE: Thanks for the new toothbrush Sam!

Deck the halls with boughs and holly, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la, la, la! Seriously though, how annoying is that song? Its almost christmas time already! Gee, it felt like it was just June last week thursday and here we are again, standing on the door step of the most expensive holiday ever.

I’ve never gotten excited about Christmas. I just love the weather this time of year. Maybe more than I like the actual holiday. I find myself cranking up the A/C even in the summer just so I could get cozy under my bed. There’s nothing like a hot cup of coffee… okay, okay, hot coco and a good book to keep you busy during the cold nights. Maybe even an attractive woman rubbing your feet and singing Christmas carols until you fall asleep too, well maybe thats pushing it.
I have a huge list this Christmas. It includes, mac stuff, mac stuff and more mac stuff. Thats all anyone really needs in life anyway right? Who needs all that mushy love stuff when you have great Apple products to show your affection to? I think my address smeared off of Santa’s list anyway. Damn you and your magic markers Mrs. Clause!
Oh, and before I forget. Here’s that annoying “Deck the Halls” song [link]
Seriously though. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas.

Snacks, snacks, snacks! We just love ‘em. Snacking is one of my favorite things to do. We all have our favorites.

Cookies, muffins, candies, brownies, popcorn, granola bars; I love them all. When I was 16 I couldn’t get enough of those little European chocolate biscuts. ‘Penguins’ I think their called. My Aunt would bring them home and I’d wait till the perfect wee hour to devour at least 2 per-night. Mmmm, such a guilty pleasure. When I was 18, I started spending an unhealthy amount of time in front of the computer (what’s changed?). I’d bring home the large size box of those McVities Digestive Cookies, crush them up and mixed them with vanilla ice-cream. It made my belly sore every-time. But they were the perfect computing snack.
Everyday on my commute to work, I stop by Arnold’s Grocery and purchase 2 bags of Milano Cookies for $3.03. I know! What a waist huh? But their so worth it. Especially next to a vanilla mocha.

For the past week I’ve found myself starving for a creative bug to i guess ‘bug’ me. For designers like me and persons in the field of being creative professionally, its very vital to keep your mind stimulated. Sure, drinking coffee is one way, but never-mind that for now. I’m talking about staying focused and genuinely interested in your work. It could be a tough tasks at times for some of us. Especially if there are distractions in your work place.
While searching for great mind exercises I came across an interesting article full of attractive ideas to help stimulate my mind, creatively. Its perfect timing because I was thinking of a great topic to blog about all day. We’ll here it is:

What is it about coffee that drives us bonkers? Is it the sweet aroma that finds its way into our noses? Is it the taste of the caramel in your Capu? The hint of Vanilla in your Latte? Who knows? Just about the only thing we do know, is its addictive.

I love coffee just as much as the next person. But there was a time when I wouldn’t touch it. The brew my aunt loved when I was younger always smelled like burnt toasts. And the smell of the toast that I ‘actually’ burned smelled worst when mixed with her coffee. Those are the mornings I dread. Its funny. Now I practically sail the mocha-promo ship, and she sails at full speed through my days at my office.
I love coffee + people. If your the same. I’ll love to coincidently run into you at Rock Island Coffee sometime.
